OPHIUCHUS SPACE BLOG

OPHIUCHUS is a website designed for those who don't know where to start when it comes to the outer space. In this website I'll share opportunities I know of, the information I gathered, and the knowledge I gained over the past few years.

Aeromedicine & Space Biology

Aeromedicine: A branch of medicine that deals with the diseases and disturbances arising from flying and the associated physiological and psychological problems.

Aerospace medicine focuses on the clinical care, research, and operational support of the health, safety, and performance of crewmembers and passengers of air and space vehicles, together with the support personnel who assist operation of such vehicles. This population often works and lives in remote, isolated, extreme, or enclosed environments under conditions of physical and psychological stress. Practitioners strive for an optimal human-machine match in occupational settings rich with environmental hazards and engineering countermeasures.

Space Biology: The main objective of Space Biology research is to build a better understanding of how spaceflight affects living systems in spacecraft such as the International Space Station (ISS), or in ground-based experiments that mimic aspects of spaceflight, and to prepare for future human exploration missions far from Earth.
